Professional Development

The Spring Partnership Trust collaborates closely to enhance teaching, learning, and outcomes across all five schools in our Trust. We approach school improvement as a purposeful and intentional process of building knowledge. Our goal is for every teacher in every classroom to excel in both curriculum delivery and teaching methods. We understand the importance of applying the best research evidence to support teachers' growth. Our Continued Professional Development (CPD) offerings include access to National Professional Qualifications and Masters' programs, funded through the apprenticeship levy. Additionally, we create and lead our own leadership development programmes, as well as pathways for teaching assistants. We have also developed an enriched Early Career Teacher Programme, which we run in conjunction with the Thames South Teaching School Hub. We are deeply committed to research and actively engage with current theories and ideas, ensuring we continually learn from evidence-based practices.

We are also committed to the development of non educational staff and offer CPD which ranges from AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) to CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) as well as project management, payroll, administration, health & safety and premises related courses.

In our Trust, we focus on identifying, nurturing, and actively developing all members at every level to build the capacity of our current leaders. We understand that this is essential for enhancing the quality of the curriculum, strengthening teaching expertise, and ultimately achieving the best outcomes for all pupils.

We take pride in having developed a network of lead practitioners within our schools, specialising in key curriculum areas to drive school improvement. Our cross-trust teaching and planning teams, lead by our subject specialists are well-established, and wherever possible, each Head Teacher, Deputy Head, and Assistant Head is integrated into the wider Trust school improvement team. This team offers peer support and strives to elevate standards in their areas of expertise.
