Exemplification Resources

Across the Trust, we have appointed Subject Leader Specialists who work closely with school subject leaders to provide vision, leadership, and elevate standards, ensuring high-quality provision in their respective subjects. Collaborating as a network, they have collectively developed the TSPT curriculum, which includes comprehensive long, medium, and short-term plans for all National Curriculum subjects. These plans are accompanied by resources such as PowerPoint presentations, worksheets, and knowledge organisers.

These materials are regularly reviewed and refined based on feedback from teachers, ensuring they remain relevant and effective. We are deeply appreciative of the dedication and hard work of everyone involved in this project and are confident that these resources will foster meaningful discussions about teaching, learning, assessment, and best practices in primary education.

We strongly believe that our aligned curriculum across The Spring Partnership Trust (TSPT) offers significant benefits that enhance both teaching and learning:

  • Consistency in Education: Our well-aligned curriculum ensures that all TSPT schools provide a consistent educational experience, minimising disparities in teaching quality and content. This consistency supports our commitment to high standards across the Trust.

  • Improved Collaboration: Since its inception during the Covid-19 pandemic, our curriculum project has thrived, fostering natural collaboration among staff. Many view this collaboration as one of the Trust's greatest strengths. The aligned curriculum enables staff to share resources, best practices, and innovative teaching strategies, creating a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

  • Streamlined Assessment: With a standardized curriculum, our assessment practices are more coherent across the Trust. This coherence allows for more accurate comparisons of pupil performance and progress, facilitating targeted interventions and support where needed.

  • Efficient Resource Sharing: The unified curriculum allows us to share high-quality teaching resources, reducing duplication of effort and ensuring that all schools have access to the best materials. This approach has resulted in cost savings and more efficient use of time and resources.

  • Enhanced Professional Development: Our curriculum alignment provides a strong foundation for professional development. Training is more focused and relevant because all staff work within the same framework, leading to improved teaching practices and better outcomes for pupils.

  • Clear Educational Pathways: The aligned curriculum ensures that pupils follow a clear and coherent educational pathway, with each stage building on the last. This continuity helps prepare all pupils for the next phase of their education, whether they continue within the Trust or move on to other institutions.

  • Stronger Trust Identity: A shared curriculum fosters unity and purpose across the Trust, helping to establish a common vision and ethos. This strengthens the identity of TSPT and its schools as a cohesive educational community.

  • Focus on Equity and Inclusion: Curriculum alignment allows us to ensure that all pupils, regardless of their background or needs, have access to a high-quality education. It supports the implementation of inclusive practices and ensures that all learners are empowered to achieve their full potential.
